This is not good and now will have to start a freshman tailback in Josh Clemons. Clemons is a good prospect but Sanders will really be missed.
Raymond Sanders suffered a knee injury at practice today. I’m told UK isn’t quite sure how long he will be out. Sanders had knee surgery over the summer and the staff tried to ease him back into action. KSR wishes Sanders a speedy recovery. Based on the depth chart, Josh Clemons will become the starting running back and CoShik Williams likely has the inside track to back up Clemons. Brandon Gainer and Jonathan George could also see action on Saturday.

Clemons is a good running back but he at this time in his young career he hasn't learned to block and he if we don't protect Newton it could be a long day. Hopefully he had a good week of practice and plays a good all-around game. [ 09-15-2011, 11:35 AM: Message edited by: catmandoo ]

Latest news on Sanders is he will be out from 2-3 weeks. Not good!
Raymond Sanders had arthroscopic knee surgery this morning and it’ll keep him out two to three weeks. Josh Clemons will get the start against Louisville but he won’t get all the carries. “We can’t do that to him right now,” Joker said. Jonathan George will back him up.
Clemons and Mychal Bailey will get a look on kick returns in Sanders’ place.

I hope Sanders gets healed up fast, but Clemons is the best back they have and you have to put talent over experience in the game, especially at RB.

Josh Clemons is A natural, has the body of A SEC runningback and imo should of been the starter in week one.
