He made certain that everybody understood he was getting every penny that UofL owes him for the remainder of his contract and moving his wife and family back to Tulsa on Sunday.
One of the few questions Kragthorpe refused to answer was one that I asked about whether his opportunity to build a program suffered because Jurich “encouraged” him to keep four members of Petrino's final staff.

I don't blame him for taking the money.

A few posters said to give him his money, but most were against it. I think the issue of him refusing to sign his contract is why the university balked at paying him the money. UK has much deeper pockets that Clyde. Had he not needed the money, he probably would have kept fighting it in court, to get the full amount.
In Kraigthorpe's case, he signed his contract and is not being questioned of mis treating his players or being a bad rep for the universiy. He is being fired for not winning.
In retrospect, Clyde may not have been fired, if he had a better record. Although, I am sure glad he was fired.

The only common thread was they both got fired other than that the two situations were completely different.
