He is going to be a good one but not this year, he just needs some time to adjust.

You get the feeling he takes this interview as practice. He understands that as a future big time quarterback, dealing with TV talking heads is part of the process, so he's ready to put the right spin out. Ryan Mossakowski is very confident at a time where he's very unsure of himself. That's terrific.

The high school All-American gets that pausing and hesitating is part of being a freshman.

"Yes sir," says number 7.

"Like you said, a couple of years from now I won't be doing that. I will be able to just do my thing and relax back in the pocket and have some fun which I'm doing now. When you are thinking and all these things are going through your mind you forget a lot of things which hurts you in the long run."

"It's tough sometimes for sure. But all in all I'm having a good time out here with the guys on the team. I'm having a lot of fun."

Ryan knew there would be a transition, but like so many, the transition from high school has been tougher than he expected.

"Ah I hope. When I come out here everyday, it's tough. Trying to learn this playbook and everything. You come out here and you say I know this. But, when you actually do it, it's a little different. It's kind of the transition I'm trying to make. It's tough but it's a lot of fun."

I wouldn't call a freshman who is overcoming an injury and getting adjusted to college a failure.
