Good to see the cats having confidence because with out they have no shot at all. I just wish i could have some od that confidence..

Johnny Williams doesn't think there's any mysterious reason why the Kentucky football team has come from behind eight times in the fourth quarter in the last three years to win games.

"It just comes down to the players believe in the coaches and each other. If we get a chance to win in the fourth quarter, we believe we can win," said the senior linebacker.

While that may not have always been the thinking at Kentucky, coach Rich Brooks says there's a simple reason for the change in philosophy.

"The players now don't know anything about what happened 25 to 30 years ago," Brooks said. "They don't know about any hexes or jinxes. They just believe they can win."

One reason Kentucky overcame a 20-7 deficit in the final five minutes against Arkansas last week to win 21-20 was because Williams forced a fumble to set up a quick touchdown pass to Randall Cobb.

"I was thinking we had to get the ball back quick to have a chance," Williams said. "I just hit the gap, hit the guy and the ball came out. I was just trying to make a tackle. I really wasn't thinking about knocking the ball out, but it felt great when I saw it come loose."

Wiliams has 24 tackles this year, including five tackles for loss and three quarterback sacks. He's seeing some time at defensive end to take advantage of his pass rushing skills as well as playing outside linebacker.

"I have been playing both positions, but I consider myself a playmaker," said Williams. "Actually, the move (to end) has worked out great. I have worked hard at practice and I got a lot of help from the coaching staff and some of the older guys. They have really put me in a good position to help our defense."
