But Johnson couldn't always stay on the field (he started twice in 13 games), and with 29 tackles -- none for losses -- he wasn't the big-play specialist his impressive high school credentials indicated.

"It's hard as a freshman coming in, especially with all those expectations," senior linebacker Wesley Woodyard said. "He's obviously a great physical being. He just had to grasp the mental aspects of making plays."

Before Johnson graduates he will be one of our better linebackers ever to play at Kentucky. Like the article points out he just need to grasp the system and when he does his athletic ability will come to the forefront..
