how can a team of this caliber get invited to a bcs bowl game. they are continually over rated as evidenced by losing 9 straight bowl games the most in history. it's not only fair to the other teams it isn't fair to football fans that watch all the bowl games. last nights game was like watching a high school team playing a div.1 team.

Totally agree.
Terrible defense.Besides West Virginia, maybe the worst D in the nation.
Even though Brady Quinn had an impressive collegiate career, would you want to take him with your first pick if you are the Raiders,Lions or Browns? No way.He may have slipped out of the top 10 with that performance.I'm a long suffering Browns fan and if they take Quinn I'll oficially start rooting for another NFL team.

I hate to say it, but I would take Brohm over Quinn. ND was definitely disappointing, but I still think that Charlie Weis will have a bowl win by his fourth year.

This is easier said coming of a UK bowl win but:

After watching LSU last night, 49-0 at Baton Rouge doesn't seem so bad.

Maybe if they accept a bid to the Independence Bowl (Is it still around?). I love seeing Notre Dame get smacked around again. Living in the heart of Notre Dame land I get it with ND this and ND that by co-workers, friends, and the local media everyday, 365 days a year.

They even had a 7 page Notre Dame Sugar Bowl insert in the Sunday paper this week. It started a nice fire for me.

Notre Dame played three good teams this year: Michigan/USC/LSU and got embarrassed in every one of them. They should not have gotten a BCS Bowl bid.

Notre Dame is the "Duke" of NCAA football. No matter how they perform they will always be the media darlings.

Why ... I don't know? How come every single one of their games is on national TV each week? The same as every Duke's B-ball games are on ESPN no matter who the opponent. Well I, for one, refuse to watch either Notre Dame or Duke games as my own private protest.

I don't watch either one of them either. I do know that Notre Dame has a big contract with NBC!!

I will watch them when I know they are getting beat. THEN I'LL SIT AND WATCH!!
