In 2004, during the back's freshman year at UK, Wildcats' offensive coordinator Joker Phillips invited Radio, the former T.L. Hanna football coach Harold Jones (Radio's mentor, played by Ed Harris in the movie) and members of Jones' family to Kentucky's game with Alabama.
If you attended the game, you probably recall Radio leading the Wildcats onto the Commonwealth Stadium field. Those who were with the UK football team that day say we missed the most memorable part of the visit.
Mary Helen Jeffcoat says Radio told her Tuesday that he "would root for the Wildcats because of Rafael. But he still likes Clemson better than the (South Carolina) Gamecocks, because the Gamecocks always lose."
