I was thinking the same thing. But Vandy will not be a push over for us either. I watched them play Michigan a very close game at the beginning of the year.

We are down with 8 minutes left in the 3rd quarter to LSU 42-0. What makes you think that we would have a chance against Georgia OR Vandy?

florida loses to auburn, iowa loses to indiana, plus the georgia upset today. lots of close games by highly rated teams also, louisville, and usc, were 2 such teams....it looks like ohio state and michigan will be 1 and 2 when the polls come out.....as far as we are concerned, we really are going to have to re-group and play a lot better than we did today. it can be done but it's going to take a lot of effort by the team and coachs. let's not write them off now as this is the time when they need us the most..go cats!

I thought all along we'd go 6-6 and get a bowl. I still see that as a real possability, though not as strong a liklihood as I once believed. I give us an better than a even shot, following an open date versus Miss. St. and that would be 4, Monroe is 5 so we have to get one of Vandy, Tenn., and Ga. Granted we'll probably be dogs in all 3. but better than a sluggers chance I believe and the open date comes at a good time for us. Vandy has surprized me a bit this year, but I think homefield will be the difference, and we sure dont want to try and make a livin defeating the other 2. Yep, I'll stick with my prediction...6 and a bowl.
Oh, and as far as Vandy-Ga....I didnt think either team played that well. [ 10-14-2006, 11:28 PM: Message edited by: Max Beasley ]

Georgia isn't LSU.
That being said, I'm now having some very real concerns about or chances against Vandy now. They don't look like a team that misses Jay Cutler all that much do they?
To get to 6 wins, UK has to go 3-2 for the remainder of the season. I think UK can get the 6 wins, I'm not sure about the bowl chances unless those 3 wins are fairly convincing.

If UK gets the wins, they WILL get a bowl. That says nothing about the team. We've got the fans. That's how the bowl system works.
