I've never liked his defenses and never will understand why Brooks keeps him around.
Has any UK defensive coach ever given up as many rushing yards as this one? This is a sad defensive scheme. I know our D players are better than what Archer's defene makes them look. I hope they can get better but ARcher's defenses at UK speak for themselves.
355+ yards rushing given up? [ 09-03-2006, 11:11 PM: Message edited by: ALA_KAT2 ]

Mike Archer is a moron, plain and simple.
1) His defensive schemes NEVER control the flats, making it easy for teams to gain first downs.
2) He faced a team tonight with a powerful running back, an inexperienced offensive line, and a QB coming off knee surgery....and he kept bringing 3 or 4 linemen! When he BLITZED on one series, he got Brohm to throw incompletions and got a three-and-out. For some stupid reason, HE DIDN'T BLITZ ANY MORE!
3) He doesn't play the guys who will hustle and make tackles; he plays who he likes the most. Micah Johnson needs to start from here on out.

I'll tell you who the moron is, the guy who made the decision to go on 4th and 3. UK was slowly gaining field position and some idiot goes and screws up the whole thing. They weren't going to win anyway, but why put that kind of pressure on the Defense.
The first time it was 4th and 2 they resisted, why did they do it the next time?
The team is bad enough without having to deal with bonehead decisions like that. Now would you like for me to tell you how I really feel??
