Am I the only one here that stayed up last night and watched the Tide take Clemson apart? I also got to see most of the Georgia/Oklahoma (St?) game. I did miss some of both games, because we had an invite to a traditional New Year dinner. That went well too. Good friends and good southern food.

Caught the onside kick in the first half and watched some of the 2nd half where Georgia stormed back. Did catch the blocked FG.
When Bama pulled away, I quit watching. The big D lineman that intercepted the ball and caught the TD, a few plays later was some of the most entertaining football, I have watched in awhile.
I figured Bama would beat Clemson by a bunch. Clemson wasn't the team, that they were the season before.
Oklahoma surprised me. I expected Georgia to run away with that game and it ended up being a shoot out. This may not be the case, but I think UGA was looking past the Sooners and thinking about the Bama game.

I watched all of both games. I think the Ga/Okla game might be the best football game I saw all season long. Double overtime, does not get much more exciting than that. As a conference the SEC did not have a good bowl season, record of 4 wins and 5 losses is not good for our conference reputation. Having an all SEC championship game should take some of the sportscasters talking points away about how the Big Ten was the best conference in America this year.
I am really impressed with the Georgia freshman quarterback, he is about as good as they come. He will be a thorn in SEC team's sides for the next couple of years anyway. [ 01-02-2018, 04:58 PM: Message edited by: SCWC ]

I caught the best part of both games. I started watching both when the 4th quarter started. I was pulling for GA and AL but I got worried about GA for a while.

I am so stoked that we have an all SEC national title game. Should be a whale of a game. UGA's potent offense v. Alabama's defense in addition to the bigger story - Kirby Smart against his mentor Nick Saban. Giddyup!

After I saw a clip of Bama RB Scarborough saying F Trump in the tunnel, I am rooting for the Dawgs!

A bad call on the blocked punt. Offciials missed the Bama lineman and negate a blocked punt.
