He is going to be a special player for the Cats.

T.V. Williams got his nickname in little league and has been known by it ever since and one that has stuck with the University of Kentucky freshman wide receiver.

“I went to a new team and they already had a Tray and people started to call me Tray,” said Williams, a freshman wide receiver. “It just stuck.”

Williams chose the Wildcats over Houston, Oregon State, Nebraska and Iowa. He was in attendance during Kentucky’s loss to Alabama last year at Commonwealth Stadium and the visit left an impression on Williams.

“We had a shot at Alabama,” he said. “We held them scoreless in the first quarter and then it got out of hand. I was still very proud after the game to call myself a Kentucky Wildcat because of the way they fought.”

Williams also liked coach Mark Stoops and “everything the coaches believed in.”

“When Drew Barker and Thaddeus Snodgrass committed, I knew I was going to come to Kentucky,” he said. “When you’ve got big-time receivers and quarterbacks committing to a school like Kentucky, with coach Stoops and coach Neal Brown and want he (brought) from Texas Tech, there was no question I had to come to Kentucky.”

Williams enrolled in the spring and participated in spring workouts. He said the experience has been better than he envisioned from the beginning.

“I just love it,” he said. “I love how they run practice. It’s just home.”

I think the guy that wrote this article must have had one too many, or something. I am not a grammar policeman, but it looks like it was written by a fifth grader. One thing is for sure; Nobody proof read it.

I can read your posts just fine. And you are not a professional writer. This guy said "They already had a Tray, so they called me Tray." That makes no sense. And, he used when in place of what, or the other way around. Stuff like that, from a professional, just gets on my nerves.
