Mark Stoops and the University of Kentucky have agreed to a new contract.
The new agreement will end on June 30th 2028 and includes guaranteed 1 year extensions for any season of 7-9 wins and a guaranteed 2 year extension for any season of 10 or more wins!
The financial terms of the contract have not been released as the contract hasn't
been finalized! ~ESPN~

Very good news. Now, both of the major program coaches are essentially "coaches for life".
At least this will quell the now annual rumors about another school hiring Stoops. It is enough to hear the constant babble about the NBA wanting Cal back.
Stoops has earned this. He may still leave one day, but he has built this program from the rubble into an SEC contender.

Keeping his coaching staff together is one of Stoops biggest challenges! When things are going good, that's when the BIG BOYS start knocking on the door looking to recruit your coordinators away!

The change is evident. Now I am disappointed when we lose to Tennessee or Georgia, and fully expect to beat everybody else.

Let's hope we can continue to sign talented recruits, One good season or two and our recruiting should continue improving right along with our good play.
