Ashton Hagans and Tyrese Maxey are both attending the Chris Paul Elite Guard Camp in Winston-Salem North Carolina this weekend.

While it is a good opportunity for skill development and potentially building chemistry between them, perhaps the biggest bonus will be access to high school players that Kentucky is targeting in recruitment.

Terrence Clarke was the second player in the 2021 class that received a scholarship offer from the Kentucky Wildcats. He is a 6-7 shooting guard from Boston, MA that is a high priority for John Calipari in his staff. Clarke is currently ranked as the No. 3 player in the 2021 class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

When it comes to recruiting, coaches can only do so much due to NCAA guidelines. Players, on the other hand, can recruit as much as they want. And getting face time with important players like Clarke could pay dividends in the future for Kentucky.

In addition to Clarke, Kentucky has also shown interest in 2021 prospects Jaden Hardy (No.5 overall) and Devin Askew (No. 16 overall) as well as 2020 guard Hassan Diarra (No. 66 overall).

The Wildcats have yet to land a player in either the 2020 or the 2021 class, which is really no surprise. This is also a great opportunity for up and coming players to be discovered, and for Kentucky to add a few more prospects to the target list.
