That would be great if we could get Smith too.
Warren East linebacker Eli Brown has given his verbal commitment to Kentucky to give coach Mark Stoops another marquee in-state commit.
While Brown says he’s not the dynamic recruiter that 2014 signee Drew Barker was, one player he could influence is three-star linebacker Emmitt Smith of Warren Central, a rival high school in Bowling Green. The 6-1, 230-pound Smith has an offer from Kentucky and major interest from a bevvy of schools. Brown went to a Rivals.com camp in Ohio over the weekend with Smith.
“I am always going to support him all I can. He doesn’t need my help with recruiting. He’s a huge kid. Me and him were basically raised together. He’s a good kid. He comes to support me and I support him,” Brown said. “I wouldn’t mind playing with him at all.”
