Warren East linebacker Eli Brown was among several UK football recruiting targets listed in the updated Rivals 250 rankings for 2015 posted Tuesday.
Brown visited Lexington over the weekend for the program’s junior day festivities. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound prospect was committed to Vanderbilt until a few weeks ago, and UK is now seen as one of the favorites in his recruitment.
Brown and Madison Southern running back Damien Harris are the only two high school players from Kentucky listed by Rivals among the top 250 prospects in the Class of 2015. Harris — another top UK target — was ranked No. 4 overall in the Rivals 100, released Monday.
The new Rivals 250 includes several other UK recruiting targets: Tampa athlete RayRay McCloud III (No. 105), Illinois wide receiver Miles Boykin (No. 114), Missouri wide receiver Alex Ofodile (No. 118), Cincinnati offensive lineman George Brown (No. 127), Missouri quarterback Drew Lock (No. 148), Nashville defensive end Kyle Phillips (No. 155), Ohio running back Darrin Hall (No. 158), Ohio tight end C.J. Conrad (No. 174), Ohio defensive back Tyree Kinnel (No. 188), Florida running back T.J. Simmons (No. 204), Nashville defensive back Ugo Amadi (No. 213), Buffalo athlete Tyrone Wheatley (No. 219), Florida center Luke Hiers (No. 224), Ohio linebacker Nick Conner (No. 241) and Alabama linebacker Richard McBryde (No. 242).
