Trey would like that as it would make him the the 10th player picked in he draft.
Pro scouts are looking past his statistics and seeing a rugged, 6-foot-10, 241-pounder who looks ready to bang in the post. Lyles is widely projected to go between the 10th and 15th picks in the draft Thursday (7 p.m., ESPN), putting him on the table for the Heat at No. 10.
Miami figures to have several options with that selection, including Lyles’ teammate Devin Booker at shooting guard. Small forward is a major need, but the best prospects could be gone by then. If the Heat are looking to bolster their frontcourt, the most likely candidates are Lyles, national player of the year Frank Kaminsky, Texas center Myles Turner and Arkansas power forward Bobby Portis.
