Here is hoping Avery has a long and good career with the Titans.
Growing up in Milan, Tenn., Avery Williamson became a Titans fan at a young age.
"The Super Bowl … that last play made me sick," he said. "I really loved the Titans."
After being selected in the fifth round of the draft, Williamson now is in the very building that once housed many of the players he lists as favorites — Eddie George, Steve McNair, Jevon Kearse, Albert Haynesworth.
"I see their pictures on the wall and it's crazy I'm here," he said. "It's cool to know they were in the same locker room."
His favorite Titans linebacker?
"Stephen Tulloch. He was a beast," Williamson said.
