I am glad that someone is finally going to try to get this stopped. Places like StubHub are a joke and should not be allowed to do what they are doing.
In most states, scalping is illegal. They should be prosecuted for breaking the laws of each and any state they resell tickets at for a profit.
In Kentucky, you can resell tickets only for the cost of that ticket, excluding any Ticketmaster or any other extra fees. [ 10-19-2007, 02:41 PM: Message edited by: LouisvilleCat ]

My roommate in college did this stuff. He would buy season tickets of college football teams then sell them for a profit. I don't like it and am glad to see someone deal with it. Unfortunately I don't think a lot of teams, especially in college, have the resources to deal with the problem.

I would think that once someone presses the issue and takes it to court others will too since the precedent would be set. Usually on things like this all it takes is 1 to get the ball rolling and others seem to always jump on the wagon.

Those fees can be pretty ridiculous too. I think that's how these ticket services can sell these tickets.

I never really understood the whole stubhub craze. The Bears are unofficial partners (or maybe it's official) with StubHub...there's all sorts of radio commercials up here with "buy your event tickets on stubhub!" all over 'em.
There's even a link to stubhub on the bears website.
