When it comes to UK. I told my wife 10 minutes before the selection show since it sounded like UK was going to be more than likely a 7 seed that their opponent would be Santa Clara.

Why? Because former UK assistant under Pitino is the head coach...and a very good one in Herb Sendek.

Fully expect the Cats to go home in round 1 again and if they do it will probably be a blessing so they don't have to get beat by 30 to 40 by Iowa State.

Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

Trey Ball,

Agree, and Santa Clara has 4 guys that are 6-9 and taller. They can shoot threes too. It's a recipe for disaster.

Santa Clara hasn't played too many teams like Kentucky this year. And when they did, they lost. I expect us to take care of business Friday and Sunday. [Smile]

We pretty much have the exact same stats on the season as Santa Clara, but against better competition. They did lose 3 times to Gonzaga, all by 11-12 points, so they must be pretty solid. They didn't really have any good wins except for a win over St. Mary in the tournament, and they had a couple bad losses to Loyola Chicago and Arizona State.

This should be a win for us, but it depends on which team shows up. If it's the team that plays hard for 40 minutes, focuses on defensive and offensive execution, and plays unselfishly we should be fine. But if not, we could be one and done.

I just saw where some experts on CBS picked Santa Clara to upset us. Picking a ten over a seven is always a popular pick.

I also think we take care of business Friday. Not so sure after that.

Each game Santa Clara played against Gonzaga they had the lead with 12 minutes to play.

Gonzaga made a run from the 12 minute mark to the 6 minute mark to win each game by 12, 8, and 11.

All three games almost identical.

All I know is when UK played Gonzaga the game was basically over after 5 minutes of play in the first half. At the 12 minute mark of the second half I think Gonzaga led by 30.

Not a good sign.
