I don't really dislike Florida basketball as a whole, but I'm beginning to really dislike Todd Golden!
What's your feelings?
He's a good coach but he could leave his arrogance in the locker room as far as I'm concerned!

The guy is a pig. I am sorry, but where there is smoke there is fire. How many co-eds accused him of inappropriate conduct? 8 or 9? The university cleared him on all accounts last year.
He is not even a very good coach in my opinion. His best thing is whining to the refs. I have said that Florida is not that good this year, because their guards are average at best and it showed in spades today.
I haven't watched a lot of basketball this year, but I have watched most of the games in the SEC Tournament. The SEC appears to have a lot of Average teams from top to bottom this year. I saw very little talent separation from Florida to South Carolina. A lot of bad basketball has been played in this tournament. [ 03-14-2026, 06:35 PM: Message edited by: Trey Ball ]
-------------------- Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

I think he's a very good coach, but he is on his way to replacing Rat Face for me. He's so immature and bush league. He talks to fans, he talks to opposing players, and he talks to opposing coaches. He's like that 30 year old that still tries to go to Frat parties. He acts like a little punk. He ta;ks bad about other teams after he wins, he just has no class overall. He wouldn't shut up on is post game about how they had played us for 120 minutes and we had never led. It's true, but I mean no coach ever talks about that stuff in the post game. No class.
They said something today about he and Pope having something personal between the 2 of them from back when Golden was at San Francisco or something. I mean how much of a butt do you have to be to get Pope to dislike you. I don't know any coach that doesn't like Pope as a person and coach. They have become a team that I will actively root against now, just because of him. I actually like the team overall just fine.

Was there a play he didn't complain about. He needs to get T'd more than he does. I haven't watched any games today and I don't plan on watching the championship game tomorrow. I just have no interest in watching games this year. I will probably record UK games in the NCAA and only watch them if I find out they won. They are too UNPREDICTABLE to go very far. My interest will be piqued when it comes decision time for the 10 who are eligible to return. I* see maybe 5 or 6 of them returning of which will mostly be KY boys.

Like I said I don't think he is a very good game coach at all. He obviously recruited and kept guys at Florida and I will give him credit for that, but last year Clayton bailed them out the entire year. It wasn't great coaching it was great individual play by Clayton for the most part. He went on an insane run. He bailed them out against UCONN, Texas Tech, and Houston. That normally doesn't happen in a single tournament.
This year his guards are weak and it has shown against the better teams they have played. He has taught his bigs to hold and foul because he knows the refs will not call that all game long. I mean Condon and Chinyleu generally get 15 fouls a game and are called for 3 each. The three that Lee hit towards the end of yesterdays game should have been called a moving screen as the Florida big pushed his knee right into Johnson to set the screen and good ole Doug Shows witnessed the whole thing with his whistle in his mouth.
