In my heart I hope we turn things around.
In my head I don’t think it’s possible.
I never played organized basketball so therefore I’m just am armchair point guard, but this team does not look like a team.
I’m sure there is individual talent, but they don’t seem to play as a team, or are honestly coached and managed well.
I can somewhat handle losses, but poor effort and poor management and preparation are another thing.
I was in the military for 32 years. This team as a whole has little discipline. Not sure how you discipline pampered paid athletes.
You can’t bench them all.
You can’t be competitive with less skilled athletes.
It’s a pickle.
Sorry for my rant. I was trying to get the most out of my $.02.

I agree BCD. Maybe it’s just me but this team isn’t fun to watch. I’ve been a UK fan all my life. I’ve watched or listened to their games all as long as I can remember. Today I found myself nodding off. Maybe it’s my age. I’m beginning to think I can find a more productive way to spend my time, like watching paint dry.
I suppose I will continue to watch when convenient.

Yeah, I think today just ensured in my mind ther will not be a tirle #9 this year. We lack defense and shooting. Well that about says it all. Some of these guys would have to do a big 180 to correct all the problems they have. The bigest thing I see is Ohweh plays when he wants to and tries to do it all. He made a big mistake by coming back. He will not be the POY in the SEC and may not even get drafted. Garrison will most likely join the portal after this one. There will be some others leave for the portal also. We have no one signed for next year yet and we may not get any frosh signed for next year. The whole program is decinagrating around us and I don't know what will happen. I go into these game planning to lose and if we win its an extra bonus.

I've lost interest in this team. 22 million and this is the best we can do. I didn't even watch today. In years past I would never miss a Kentucky game but not anymore.

Maybe Cal really left because of the deal Mitch made with JMI. He could see what was coming and got out at the best time.

I fear a snowball effect is coming.
We already have zero recruits for next year.
Current players families posting discouraging things.
Add in JMI questions and concerns and we could tumble quickly into near oblivion.
I think our fan base won’t allow too far of a drop, but even BBN will not be able to turn the tide alone.
Strong Leadership at all levels will be needed? Do we have that? The magic 8 ball is skeptic.
Just my $.02

I am numb to all of this now.
I followed college sports because they weren't spoiled millionares playing a game for obscene amounts of money. At he high D1 level, they were skilled and exciting to watch. Each season was filled with anticipation of watching players grow and the team fulfil its potential.
As a UK fan in particular, the expectations were a little higher. But the skilled players were numerous, and those expectations were filled most of the time.
But now?
College sports is just spoiled overpaid millionaire KIDS, with no loyalty to any program, freedom to move from team to team as their whims dictate, and no real incentive to grow (or maybe, grow just enough to warrant a bigger paycheck).
This has no attraction to me.
I could care less what happens to this team, except for the last bits of UK pride that cling to me. That, too, is being shredded.

Pretty much my sentiments exactly Tip.
I suspect fans from all across the country feel the same, save for those teams who pop up to be good for a season.
I still watch when convenient, but with much reduced enthusiasm.
Similarly I used to watch Major League Baseball until the strike in the 90s. I can’t handle pampered, entitled athletes.
T-ball season is just a few months away. It’s now my favorite sport to watch.
Kids be funny.
Another .02 for free.

I have to admit it is all about the money now. Next thing you know they will be paying high school kids. I mentioned on here I had a BB signed by Trent Noah that Got at a silent auction at our vets golf scramble back in May. I've talked to the secretary of Pope, Yhe commander of the UK ROTC unit and the guy who arranges for visitors to all the sports teams. Looks like I am getting a run around because it still sits here unsigned. I even bought Christmas presents for all the team members, coaches and managers and whoever else would be there until I run out. I bought up about 40 of the Nick Kurtz Bowman Rookie card. Most only cost me 2 or 3 dollars. But the fact is he ended up being the Rookie of the Year for the American League with a .292 Bave, 36 HR and 95 RBIs. I also bought 1 card that had been graded for 10 dollars and it is worth 80 dollars on ebay. I know thaat's not much compared to what a few of these guys will be making in the pros but still there are some of them who will be glad they got something like this. I even volunteered to give them a little pep talk from my lifetime job experience and still no action. I think I'de be wasting my time going to see them now.

Pope is still my guy and I hope he has a long career as UK head coach.
This is just his second year, and I always give a coach three years to turn things around. Could it be done quicker? Most definitely. But man things are really screwed up in college basketball right now.

I’d be happy with a long successful career at UK. Not a long mediocre career.
