Don't look now but college BB is going all out with this talk about a GM. Pilgrim and Polecheck had a discussion about taking some of the load off Pope's back with the hiring of a GM. This would take some of the load off his back where he is not real familiar with. Why not. It's just another salary to pay. Maybe that's the real problem with his trying to learn new things about his job getting him bogged down. He definitely is way behind in the recruitment of 2026 players. And his losing streak with these players is starting to get longer and longer.

I’d say in today’s environment, a GM should be helpful. The question is who? What background would they need and who controls them?

I’m available, providing the salary is right and I don’t come cheap. I would also require a moving package to Lexington. Another requirement would be unlimited tickets I could give to family, friends and members of The Cats Domain.
Of course they would have to give me a life time contract. I don’t think that will be problem as I’m almost 80 now.
Hope that answers your question Bigcatdaddy. [ 12-12-2025, 04:54 PM: Message edited by: handycat ]

Don’t forget to ask for an exorbitant buyout. You’ll get all my votes.

Although fast approaching 85, I could probably fill those shoes with my 41 years experience with the military and civil service jobs. And I live only 30 minutes from Lexington. They would have to provide me a driver because I wouldn't want to drive that trip every day and then work 8 hours? I have followed them since 1965 so I know all the names and stats. Love to work with both young folks and not so young ones too. Of course it would be a limited time contract due to my age ![[Eek!]](eek.gif) [ 12-13-2025, 08:44 AM: Message edited by: Bama Cat ]
