Just terrible shot selection again. Both games against better competition this has been an issue. I would say it is a trend.

Only good thing about this game…I put $100 on MSU on the moneyline at +120.
I have always said Izzo runs some of the best offense in college basketball. He just doesn’t always have shooters. When they make shots they are hard to beat because they always defend and rebound.
I am beginning to think Coach Pope can’t teach defense. They just have basic fundamental lapses. For example, you never leave corner shooters, especially on the strong side of the floor.

Last years team couldn’t defend but they were efficient on the offensive end. This team is terrible on the offensive end. Oweh is looking like the Oklahoma Oweh. He is just really bad so far this year. Once again he has the worst plus minus on the team.
Pope needs to tell Diabate no more threes or you are on the bench. That is one ugly shot.

I'm afraid it's going to be almost a carbon copy of last years team, only wew might not make the final 16. I would lie to understand how each year we start off with some guys that can shoot the ball but the further we get into the season the worse they shoot it. It seems as though we turn their shooting off for some reason.

This team is no where as good offensively as last years team and it is no better defensively either. Maybe even a little worse defensively which is hard to believe.
I don't see any shooters on this team at the moment and no inside game either. Last year you could post Carr when he was healthy and Williams got better as the season progressed. Garrison has taken a step backwards.
There is not an offensive option for this team to play through. Scary how bad of a roster they constructed. I am not sure that Lowe or Quantiance would have helped it a ton either.
Biggest thing is there is no Chemistry or Trust among the players with this team. I have a theory that it revolves around the $22 Million of NIL money and the imbalance between players. I think Oweh is somewhere around $350k and he knows Jasper Johnson is over $1M and Quantiance is at almost $2M (he will never see the floor for UK IMO). Oweh is probably thinking I am the returning leading scorer and SEC Preseason player of the year and he has less NIL money than all the new comers. That can't be good and I think it has snowballed out of control and Pope knows it.
