This disease is terminal, I am afraid. RIP, college athletics.

I hate it, but I get it. We all want to love Perry, but he doesn't have the physical attributes to play point guard, which at his height, he needs to play. I think long gone are the days where kids stuck around and got better, and made a splash later in their careers. NIL has players being one-year contractors. Unfortunately he's going to be recruited over while at UK. I hope he can go someplace like Murray State and shine. Just my $.02

Dang...while I agree he doesn't have maybe all the physical tools as some....I thought he improved tremendously throughout the year.
I think the kid is a tireless worker will continue to improve and I think he is tough as nails.
I see him in the same light as I see Braden Smith at Purdue. Braden has improved every single year at Purdue because he has worked at his craft and his deficiencies and gotten better every year and the growth between his Sophomore year and Junior year was extreme.
-------------------- Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

I agree with you BCD. Travis’s playing time at UK would have been limited no matter how long he stayed. I also think Murray would be a good choice for him. Good luck Travis.

Trey it would be great if he became a Braden Smith type player. I just don't think he has the quickness. Living in Indiana, I've watched several Purdue games, and Smith just seems to have more quickness. Maybe its the beard, and not just a mustache. lol Hopefully Perry can go somewhere and get extended minutes (he wasn't getting that here) and the hard worker he is, will start to show and pay dividends. Who knows, maybe with these annual contracts, he may end up back at UK.

I agree with all the above. You could see as the season got into the final third that he wasn't getting the PT that the other frosh were getting. And he was'nt quite thr ball handler that the others were. He would get more PT at schools like EKU, Western and Murray, even Morehead. He could become a starter at most of those schools. When he gets settled in his shooting should pick up again.

Looks like Perry is going to end up at either Ole Miss/Arkansas/Maryland/Iowa.
