As of Sunday, Aug. 2, we are exactly 100 days away from the start of the 2020-21 college basketball season, which begins in earnest with the annual Champions Classic that features Kentucky vs. Kansas and Duke vs. Michigan State at the United Center in Chicago on Nov. 10.
But with coronavirus cases surging nearly nationwide, will we even have a college basketball season?
As of right now, NCAA Senior Vice President Dan Gavitt says that's still the plan.
"In college basketball, we are still planning on starting the season, right now, on schedule on November 10," Gavitt told Andy Katz of NCAA March Madness Saturday.
