Box Score

Team shot 53% from the floor. Need to improve 3 point shooting a little bit! 22 points off turnovers is a stat that normally don't show up in the box score!

Cats need to work on the rebounding!

Overall good game from Hagans, Herro and Quickley.
Richards provided some good minutes, and we need Nick as he is our only rim protector.
Travis was pretty much MIA, and Washington came alive late but needs to play harder for much of the game.
This team has a long ways to go to be a contender for the F4.

Quickley scoring 10 points, 3 steals and 2 assists in 13 minutes of playing time was impressive.

Good bench production, especially in the first half!

A&M was no slouch when it came to shooting the ball. They were 48% from the floor, 47% on their 3's and over 92% from the line. I would bet the coachs will have the Cats practice extra hard on their defense before the Vandy game on Saturday.

A&M was no slouch on the boards either as they out-rebounded us.

As Herro and Hagans go, so go the Cats. If both of those guys have great games, we are very good team, if they are off their games we will struggle. It is ridiculous to me that Travis got 30 minutes and did so little. That's a game where Richards and EJ should have got much more of his minutes. For him to only get 4 boards in 30 minutes is unacceptable.

While Richards shows occasional flashes of good play, I just haven't seen anything from EJ that justifies him getting off the bench. He runs the floor well, but he has no shot and plays mediocre defense at best.

I personally think that were Montgomery and Richards getting more of the minutes Travis and PJ are getting, we might be a much better team by the end of the season. This team have improved very little from the first blowout game with Duke and unless they get it together soon, they could finish third or fourth in the SEC this season. Reid works very hard but he just does not have the athleticism or game and he has already reached his potential in the game of basketball.

Don't give up on EJ. Most of my friends think he's going to surprise some people by season's end.

Pretty sloppy game for most of it. We have too many who have not adjusted well to the speed of the Div. 1 game. Sloppy passes, fumbling the ball and not moving quick enough with the ball inside. We don't seem to be ready to play when the first ball goes up. Too many mistakes.

Travis tries hard but he is next to nothing in some of these games. PJ does not look like he is ready to go to the NBA. He has a long way to go to show he is consistent during 40 minutes. Baker is starting to be involved but his being out is making his progress slow. We have games like last night that Johnson doesn't seem to get the ball enough when he is supposed to be our best player.

I like the spread of minutes in the game and other stats for all the players in this game. Except as was said Travis got too many minutes for what he accomplished. Montgomery is still wet behind the ears but he shows flashes of good play and he can handle the ball well. He should be very good by next year.

I would think right now that Johnson is the only one and done on this team and ould be the only one we lose except for Travis. But we don't know how Hagens will progress before seasons end. PJ is just not showing he is ready for the pros.
