UNC got off scott free because the improper benefit (non-existent classes) was available to all students and not just athletes. That is the sole reason the athletics department wasn't given any penalty. So if a coach pays a player to attend his school AND he pays a couple of non-athletes to attend as well, then he's doing nothing wrong?

It's crazy. I just read a KSR article about it and got mad all over again. Your logic is spot on, Paul. You can bet your house, had it been Duke, same resulting non-punishment would have been administered. Same kind of thing as our liberal friends getting all bent out of shape because Trump once (11 years ago) told a guy he could grab a woman's genitals, and it set the world on fire. However, when Mister Clinton actually assaulted and probably raped women, it was "just sex".

And the Commissioner of the SEC was the man in charge of this committee, go figure.

Therein lies the problem!! The NCAA should have never had him in charge of the case. He had to let them off or it would have looked like he was prejudice. The NCAA knew what they were doing and the FBI should look into the NCAA.
