Frankly I hope he stays in the draft if it means we would get Johnson. We need experience bad and having two yrs at the div 1 level makes him (in my view) a better fit for this particular team who lacks experience..

I feel the same way Ed, prefer to have Johnson who is a proven college player who we would have for two years to stabilize the young players coming in yearly. Apparently Diallo is very athletic but does not have a good outside shot. We do need three point shooters. [ 05-11-2017, 09:44 AM: Message edited by: SCWC ]

I totally agree with what y'all are saying... But Im leaning towards Diallo coming back because he saw our defense/offense for half a season and he would help the new guys coming in get settled into Cals way faster.
Cam Johnson has more experience at the D1 level... But not more experience under Cal. I feel like playing for cal is a different animal. [ 05-11-2017, 02:45 PM: Message edited by: WHO?UK ]

I have completely bought into the idea of "one and done". I get it, the players benefit as well as the school and the fans. But in Diallo's case he will be the only one to benefit. He obviously has no desire to play ball for UK, I personally would like to see him go as my opinion on him is tainted.

I don't have a problem with Diallo leaving. If he does, I wish him the best and hope he got advice that turns out to be true.
There are players who leave and don't get the guaranteed money and realize that they made a mistake. The bottom line is that it is his choice and he has to live with the results.
I am no expert on the NBA, but it appears to be an offensive league, currently, and the emphasis is on scoring. They let you take 15 steps to the basket and the majority of the calls favor the offensive player. If you can't score, your value decreases dramatically.

Another year playing college ball under Cal would help Diallo but if he can make the big bucks more power to him. [ 05-15-2017, 05:04 PM: Message edited by: catmandoo ]
