While Tyler Ulis seems to be getting much more national praise and attention this year, ESPN analyst Jay Bilas isn’t sure the perception of the Kentucky sophomore guard is all that different from last year
“He’s just a year older and it is his team now,” Bilas said. “He doesn’t have to share time with older players. John (Calipari) is giving him the ball and letting him run the team. It’s a great position to be in. He is a great college player and I think he will be a pro.
“He can control the game with the ball in his hands. He can impact a game defensively because he is an excellent defender. He can pressure all over the court. If you leave him open, he will make shots. He is under control all the time. In the lane he can come to a jump stop and make a pass or shot.
