Trey has a very good chance of being a very special player in the NBA.
Once Trey Lyles starts working out for NBA teams, his father thinks a lot of people will be “shocked” by what they see.
“Trey is the prototype of a NBA player,” said Tom Lyles, Trey’s father. “He does so many different things. There are only a couple of guys in the league at his size and skill set and IQ and ability and talent. He’s unique.”
Trey Lyles’ skills helped UK start the season 38-0 before the Wildcats lost to Wisconsin in the Final Four. He’s one of seven Wildcats who opted to leave school early for the NBA.
His father remembers his son being slotted as a mid-second round draft pick possibility when the season started. Now he’s projected as a mid-first round pick with a chance to move up during workouts and interviews.

I agree. I thought from day one that Lyles was the best player on the team. Then as the year started he really didn't show me much. But as the year went on, he picked up his game and showed a lot of improvement. I think he will be a very good pro.

He sure has the talent and if he has the right mind-set he can be a very special NBA player.
