OK, Duke is unconscious from the arc, so it looks like they will win this game in a run-away right now.

But, our boy Kyle Wiltjer is doing some really good stuff. He is posting up, scoring over Okafor, and rebounding well. Defense? Meh. Not so much. But he is their only option right now on "O".

I miss the guy. He would be a hell of a player on the blue squad if he stayed.

WELL TIP THE WAY WE PLAYED DEFENSE LAST NIGHT, AND THE LAST FEW GAMES, WILTJER CAN DO JUST AS GOOD. AND I STILL SAY HE WOULD BE OUR BEST SHOOTER.

Bluethru, say what! What's wrong with enjoying watching a player from another team play. I find your comment " kind of sick".

I have no disdain for Wiltjer. He sure didn't do UK wrong in any way by leaving. Kid wouldn't have played much at all. Can't blame him for wanting minutes, and instead of sitting on the UK bench crying about it, he transferred. No ill will from me, and I hope he lights puke up for 50 points tonight.

Wiltjer was a classy young man when he was at UK and he is now at Gonzaga. I just cannot understand any Kentucky fan not wishing him well as long as he is not playing against us. He has already scored 13 points on 5 for 7 shooting, including one three pointer. He has improved a lot and Gonzaga use him on the low post quite a bit but also let him step outside for three point shots. I certainly hope Gonzaga and Kyle win this game against Duke. Playing Duke alone should make most Cat fans be rooting for him today.

I have watched a lot of Gonzaga games this season and Kyle is a very good player. Taking the year off due to transfer and redeveloping his body and game did him a world of good. His rebounding and defense are pretty darn good too.

Coach Cal said last night in his post game presser that him and Ellen watch his games quite often and he texts him from time to time checking up on him or congratulating him on a good game!

Wiltjer is a shooters shooter. In the first half he went 5-7 from the floor 1-2 on his 3 pointers, 2-2 from the line, and 4 rebounds.

Gonzaga are going to their bigs now, leaving Wiltjer out of the flow of the offense. Big mistake. Gotta keep giving the ball to the hot hand!

Duke has shot twice the free throws as the Zags but that I not surprising. They always shoot more free throws that their opposition.

LIke I said earlier in the year. Love the Zags and their output, but they just not that strong on the defensive end of the floor!

I've often felt that the competition in Gonzaga's conf wasn't as strong as some of them are on this side of the Mississippi!

Two really bad out of bounds calls that went to Duke took a lot of steam out of the sails of Gonzaga. With the score tied, the Zags player drove to the basket, clearly knocked out of his hand by Duke defender, official under goal called it Zags ball. You then saw the official behind the three point line who had no way of seeing the play run in to talk to the other official and they changed the call and gave the ball to Duke. I thought Few got outcoached in the second half, he had it going with Kyle but quit getting the ball to him on the low post for his little jump hook. Kyle has come a long way since his days at UK and hopefully another year at Gonzaga will earn him an NBA career.

I was not all that impressed with Okafor, I consider Towns a much better pro prospect that he is.

Which is exactly why I was hoping we could play them. UK would win by double figures. After watching that game, I'm not overly impressed with dook, either.

Zagsdidn't score a single basket in the final 6:40 of the game. 2 free throws in that time period was all of their scoring!

If Gonzaga can get a couple of top quality, NBA type guards they will be tough to deal with next season. They have a huge front line, bigger than ours I think.

I think Wiltzer will make it as a NBA player if he just gets a little stronger. He needs to bulk up or they will push him all over the court.
