I think it's a bunch of hogwash!
Cincinnati coach Larry Davis defended the way his team played against Kentucky, and also made it clear after the game that he thought officiating played a role in UK's win.
"The Bearcats are always physical. That's how we play. We don't play dirty, but we use our bodies, and we play very, very physical. I've been telling them they've got to play physical from the moment I took over, because that's how we play. We're not going to give you an inch," Davis said after Saturday's game.
"If you don't play that way, you've got no chance to win. If you're going to run up against somebody that plays physical and you're not ready to meet that every time out, then you're not going to win. Obviously, their size is a problem. So we knew we had to get bodies on bodies.

Sure you play "very, very physical" then you will likely have more fouls called against you no matter who the refs are or who you are playing.

He sounds like a not so intelligent individual to me. We were clearly better than Cincy, I am surprised they stayed as close as they did. Cincy are the type of team that if they can intimidate their opponent with their physical play, they can win, but that did not work on us yesterday.

I think if they were looking to intimidate they picked the wrong team to try that on!

They were just plain out-manned and were lucky to get as close as they did.

If we played them again we would beat them by 30!

They were lucky this was the worst game we have played in a long time. What a lousy shooting game. We must get better or we may not be playing in April.

I think we're going to be alright, Bama!

Cal will have them ready and bet we will look a lot better next game.

I didn't think we looked bad we just couldn't get some shots to fall. KAT didn't score a single basket in that second half!

When you can't get shots to fall it's hard to say we looked good. It will come and that's where our good defense comes into play.

I think our defense all year has been great.and it's the one thing we play the most consistent.

We are the number 1 team in NCAA field goal percentage defense.

I'd like to see us improve on that!

Should not be a problem at all, go Cats!
