King Obama said yesterday that he was a big advocate of changing some rules in college Basketball, but the NCAA was to slow to do anything like congress so he gets his Executive pen out and signs in to law the following rule changes for 2015-2016. Executive order # br549

1. 3 second lane wider
2. Shot clock to 30 Seconds
3. backup 3 point shot line.

Ok so I am getting a little nervous before we get started playing. LOL

I personally don't like any of the proposed changes.

I don't like any of the proposed rule chances. I think college basketball is a great product as is, enjoy watching good defensive teams play. I see the proposed changes hurting the game more than helping it myself. I have never liked the fact that someone can run over in an area near the basket, set his feet, play absolutely no defense at all other than standing there and get a foul called on a man driving to the basket that is not his man. If I want to watch professional basketball, I can find plenty of games to watch on TV, that is why I am a college basketball fan. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

The NIT is experimenting with the 4 foot arc as opposed to the current 3 foot block/charge arc in their tournament. I don't like the arc at all, never have and wish college basketball would do away with it all together and let the official determine whether it is a block or charge call based on whether the individual is actually playing defense or just standing waiting for someone to run over him on the way to the basket.

the block/charge is probably the most missed call in the entirety of college basketball. I just wish for some consistency.

As long as humans are judging, there will never be consistency, even in a court of law.

Like the end of the SMU/UCLA game?

That was a tough call. One replay angle looked like goaltending but the other angles looked like that ball was going to sail over the rim and not touch it. I know we have the advantage of replays and multiple angles, but for the ref to make THAT call, at THAT time, I sure hope he was absolutely sure about what he saw.

They said it wasn't a reviewable call

They looked it over every way possible after the game and it really was a very, very close call.

What's wrong with a 30 second shot clock? The women have had it for years. I actually don't even mind if it was 24 like the NBA

Thirty I don't mind, but 24 seems pretty quick to me!

Remember, shorter shot clocks don't mean higher scoring games!

More chances than not, it means lower shooting percentages!

THAT WAS NOT GOAL TENDING.

If Obama said it.... I don't like it... Then again, I don't like or agree with anything that comes out of his mouth.
