What team won the NCAA tournament with the most season loses, and how many losses did they have?
Posted by Trey Ball (Member # 332) on 02-05-2015, 01:28 PM:
I think the answer is NC State and I think they had 13 losses or it might have been 11.
Good question.

At 48 I don't even think they sell candles in pacts of 48! You would need the fire department standing by with a flame like that.

That's why my family buys the number candles like you put on little kids cakes "48". Only 2 candles otherwise the top of the cake is perforated!

You, on the other hand, CMD, are the same age as my parents! Well my mom anyway, since dad passed away 2 years ago!
They were both born in '41

41 was a great year. Especially March 8.

'41 was also a bad year. Dec. 7th!

I actually remember that. My mom and dad were really worried. Mostly because they were afraid he'd have to go to war and leave Mom there with three little ones. I wasn't quite seven yet.

However I don't think I'd like to go one on one with to many people any more.

I'll be 50 on July 10th. My mom and dad just celebrated their 64th anniversary! I find the older generation amazing, depression babies know the value of a dollar...

My father was in World War ll but never would talk about it. My mother said it was really bad as he was a machine gunner and they went pretty much through all of Germany and there were a lot of casualties in his company.

The depression was a terrible time and hope we never have to go through that ever again.
Posted by m hamilton (Member # 127) on 02-07-2015, 02:35 PM:
My wife's grand parents lived through the depression and when they passed away there was butter containers and grocery bags and things like that stashed all over the basement of that house!
Posted by Old Norm (Member # 1482) on 02-07-2015, 04:21 PM:
It ended right around the time I was born (1935), but Mom and Dad were still living very frugally when I left home for good in 1957.

I heard some stories from my parents about the depression and they had to be some bad times. We have been very fortunate in our life time but this Obama debacle could really change our country and isn't looking good!
