Well we haven't waited all year for this one because we played in the sweet 16 of the NCAA last season. It's has been built up to be a barn burner.
Two defensive juggernauts. It's going to be a war, a battle for the ages. It could go either way.
UL wearing shirts Heart over HYPE. I guess we'll see if it is hype or for real won't we dirty birds.

The way to win this game is to minimize passes in the half court.
Move with the ball, make them adjust, draw some fouls, wear them out.
Shoot the open jumper. Don't look for the cute pass, just shoot the ball. Play through the inevitable bump and make the play.

They just need to relax and move the ball better. We also need to move more ourselves on offense. I think we will be okay if we use our depth. I don't want guys to get up to 30 minutes. I think we tire them out if we keep guys fresh. Cut turnovers down and we win.

How good loserville is is totally dependent on the refs. If they let them reach, slap, and hip check then they are really good. If they have to play true basketball based on skill then they are still good, but not as good as us. We have to play through this crap.

Definite travel. That is a weakness of all of UK's bigs. None of them have elite "quick" moves like Harrell or Okafor. All of them are very slow and deliberate and easy to defend.

We have not played too smart offensively today, but dang our defense is good. Except for thos couple turnovers and dumb fouls on 3 pt shooters at the end. To beat a Duke though I think our offense needs to come a long way.

The four freshman played most of the minutes in the second half, they really showed up with their A games today. Lyles came up big in the first half offensively and rebounded and played good defense the entire game. Ulis is a true Pit Bull, got to love that little guy's game. Booker is getting better every game. Great three point defense, but then again, U of L have undersized guards and they are not the fourth best team in the country, if they are, college basketball is weak. We played a so so game and beat them on their home floor. I think Harrell ended up with 9 points, Lee, Willie and Lyles really stopped him today.

I really like this win. It was ugly, but to come in to their house and compete like we did was great. The game wa called more to their liking and we still pulled it out. A lot to learn from this and that is always good.
Funny how fans see things differently. I thought the way the game was called was to the advantage of UK. Loved that they allowed the physical play underneath. I think that is always an advantage for the bigger more physical team.

UL played well and admire their desire as they are not even close to us in talent. I hate to say that as never been a fan of Pitino as a person but he had his team ready that's for sure.

The good thing every one contributed on the boards and our leaders had 9 boards each Towns, Lyles and Dakari. That is a fantastic stat as they did not play that many minutes.

MH, thank you for asking and we had a wonderful time with a lof of yelling going on, You would really like my son as he is a huge Cat fan like us and that first half he was going bonkers like was I. The second half was much better and you could pretty much tell we were going to win.
The grandsons twins are 21 year old college seniors and they are all boys and had a few bruskies as did my son and 26 year old granddaughter. It was jus a wonderful time and one I will "never" forget. Again thanks for asking, you are a very special person.

The referees missed a lot of calls but in their defense it was a tough game to call because of Louisville's rock and sock defense.

Andrew did not play well tonight and I think he will have a hard time against quick guards. If he makes in the pros it will be as a shooting guard and 'not' a point guard.
