After Devin went 5-6 from three point land and scored 19 points in 16 minutes of play, Devein was Named SEC Freshman of the Week!

Devin has actually hit 8-9 from three point land since he had missed 9 in a row.

His shooting stroke is so smooth. I'm not even sure his shots were hitting the net on Saturday. Great shooter and great mechanics.

I knew early on in the season when we were missing shots that I knew the shots would start falling again.

He can shoot the 3 ball with the best of them.

It should be noted however that even at 46% there is over 100 players in div 1 basketball that are shooting a better percentage than Devin.

Yeah, but of those 100 players do any of them play defense like Booker does?
Posted by catmandoo (Member # 1284) on 12-22-2014, 03:18 PM:
That is tough to say but Devin is a very good defensive player.

It surprised me that there were so many players shooting that high of a percentage on their 3 point shooting.

IT will surprise you how many coaches teach the zone defense!

Jim Boeheim, has made a living using his 2-3 zone and will use it till he retires. He has won a lot of games with it but it slows the game down to the point watching play is like watching paint dry.

In order to have a successful zone you have to have length and players have to move there feet!

Boeheim has a knack of finding players that can play some great 2-3 zone defense and in all fairness Boeheim is a heck of a good zone defensive coach.

HE should be. After 30+ years of running it he should have it down by now.

That is what makes Boeheim a good coach as he has experience and knows what it takes to be a great coach. No one can question his record as it is one of the best. Got to give credit when it's due.
