The Twins are back making it 9 Mickey D's plus WCS and it's going to allow Calipari to play a "much" more aggressive style of basketball. The numbers alone will allow them to always have fresh players on the court and having bigs like WCS and Lee that can run is going to give Cal a lot of options next season. We have the makings of one of the most talented and deep Kentucky team in a long time if not ever. The scorers table is going to be like a turn-style with players coming and going.

I can't wait, the options are endless, I know no team will be as Big as us, I just hope the twins work on there Defense and foot work in the off season. There's no question we should be preseason #1, who will be our challengers next year?

I can see Wisconsin, Arizona, or Duke all being #1 over UK.
You can agree or disagree, but UK lost it's two best players from a year ago to the draft: Randle and Young. That is a significant loss that needs to be replaced.
Do I think UK is Top 5 to 10 with the roster? Sure, but just like this year the Freshmen are Freshmen and non of the returning players are guaranteed lottery picks (WCS is the closest to that and he is not a lock). So they have a lot of talent, but not as much NBA talent as previous years under Cal.
Don't get me wrong. I love the roster and it is deep, but it is not as talented as the 2010, 2011, 2012, or 2014 rosters IMO. [ 04-25-2014, 02:47 PM: Message edited by: Trey Ball ]
-------------------- Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

U-con only lost the german and the 2 guard. They will be pretty tough again next yr. I think the badgers only lost the guard ben brast. Their will be lots of good teams that would give us a run next yr.

I hope this becomes the norm for us. Have top recruiting classes each year, then lose maybe 2-3 guys, always have some experience coming back. If we keep having some 2 and done guys mixed with a couple of 1 and dones, and throw in some 3-4 year players we will have a great run. I can't wait for next year.

Trey posts: You can agree or disagree, but UK lost it's two best players from a year ago to the draft: Randle and Young. That is a significant loss that needs to be replaced.
If Young was our 2nd best play we sure were not very deep as not only was he a poor defender his offense was not so good either. He did not make 35% of his 3's he only made 40% of his total shots. Those stats are mediocre at best. I just don't see him as a NBA player but wish him well and hope I am wrong.
Randle may make it in the NBA but he isn't going to be a instant star and will have to work on his outside shooting if he expects to ever start for a NBA team. They will back off of him and take away his ability to drive until he can knock down some 3's and l5 foot jump shots. (Randle took 18 3's all season and made only 3 for 16.7%)
As far as replacing both of them only time will tell but we do have pieces Cal is just going to have to put those pieces together. Hopefully with a lot of our players staying in won't take as long as it did this year. The early goal should be to play better in the SEC, not lose so many games early and going forward, win the SEC title and the SEC tournament.

Ray, I didn't say that as he will be tough to replace but in the NBA they will play him a lot differently as his wing-span is a lot shorter than most all power forwards. He will have a much harder time getting off shots against a lot of them. imo
