Good news for the Cats!
The Harrison twins won’t be going pro this year.
With the deadline to enter the NBA draft Sunday, Kentucky freshmen and former Travis basketball stars Aaron and Andrew Harrison have decided to not make themselves eligible for this year’s draft and will return to college for their sophomore seasons, according to Yahoo! Sports.
The two join teammates Willie Cauley-Stein and Marcus Lee in deciding to return. Fellow freshman Julius Randle and James Young have both already declared for the draft.
Both Aaron and Andrew Harrison entered college as near-certain “one-and-done” players, but they saw their draft stock rise and fall through the season and NCAA Tournament. The family gathered as much information and feedback as it could, pushing the decision to just days before the deadline, ultimately deciding waiting was the best option.
Some mock drafts have them projected as first-round picks, but others have one or both either going in the second round or not among the 60 picks altogether.
