Some things in life are unavoidable. Death and taxes suck, but it has to happen. Doug Shows officiating Kentucky games has to happen. And it sucks. Hunter Brickey at Kentucky Heartbeat, you may remember for being the blogging home of former Wildcat Perry Stevenson, put the pen to paper — or, fingers to keyboard — and spelled it out.
Shows has called six Kentucky games this season and the Cats are 1-5 in those contests. Four of those games have been on the road for Kentucky. That matters significantly, because Brickey found that Shows has a home foul margin (the disparity between the number of fouls whistled on the home team versus the away team) of -9 in those games. He has strongly favored the home team in Kentucky games.
Compare that to Tony Greene who has also called six Kentucky games this season, three of which came on

Those are some pretty revealing statistics on his record in officiating our games this season.

TV Teddy valantine is my least favorite. It seems to me every UK game he does it ain't good for us, we may win the game but it's like playing 5 on 8.
