I have been reading on the UNC boards about the UNC and UK matchup and last I heard it was in doubt that we would continue the series.
Do any of you guys know where this issue stands?
Is that a done deal in that the series is over?

Both this article and the tv news says it will resume after this next year off. It will be a home and home as before. If this don't snag Harrell for us we don't need him.

UNC Heels from what I understand UK and UNC mutually agreed to take this upcoming season as a break from each other but the series will resume the following year back to home to home series. However I might misunderstood something saying the series could go neutral court as well.

In today's LHL there is an article indicating the UK/UNC series will resume after a one season absence. Both teams have two more conference games to fit into their regular schedule and those games are MUST games. The UNC/UK series of games is just to important to college basketball to be done away with permanently.

I hope the UK/UNC series stays on the campus sites and not neutral sites. There's never really been anything to worry about at either schools arena as far as safety or anything like that goes.

I agree Paulcat. I have been to the UK/UNC series in the Dean Dome twice and have always been treated respectfully by the UNC fans. There are about as close to our fans as you will find, rabid for their team but respectful of their opponent and their fans. The Dean Dome is one of the classiest venue's I have had the privilege of seeing our Cats play on the opponents home court.

Most likely the series will stay on campus, it was Duke who will be on neutral courts with.

Duke will never play someone of any stature nationally on their floor other than in the ACC/Big Ten challenge. They probably play more neutral court games than any other team. I like the practice myself and am happy to see us going to big venue neutral sites for major games.

Me too Norm. I am debating whether to go to the Duke/UK game in Atlanta in November. We do play them this season in the second round of the Kansas, UK/ Mich State/Duke ESPN three year contract.
