Dortch offers these insights Kentucky connections going into June’s NBA draft: Question: How high could Enes Kanter go in the draft and what impresses scouts the most about him? Dortch: “He’s a top-five pick. I think scouts love the fact his size is legit (about 6-11, 260), he’s mobile, he has great hands and he already loves to do blue-collar chores. He’s a big-time rebounder, for example. I think he’ll be able to score facing the basket or with his back to it in the paint.”
Question: Would Kentucky have been national champion with him, or with the way Josh Harrellson played did it matter that UK didn't have him? Dortch: “Considering how far Kentucky got without him, it’s tempting to think of what might have happened with him. Surely the player he would have become by late March would have been enough to propel the Wildcats into the title game. And once there, they could have handled Butler.”
