It has been a bit of a disappointing freshman season for Kentucky's Stacey Poole, but the former Providence School standout is not discouraged.

If anything, it has made the 6-foot-4 guard more determined.

"I'm not used to being a reserve. I'm used to playing," said Poole, who along with UF freshman Patric Young helped the Stallions win the Class 2A state title last season. "Things happen and I just have to adjust to it and keep working hard.

"My time is coming. Before that I'm going to keep working hard every day and getting better."

Lots of the young ones would be thinking transfer
rather than working harder until you get your
chance to play.
