For those of you in Northern Ky who may not know, channel 929 is Fox Sports South in HD. Most UK games will be shown on this channel. Insight hasn't labeled this channel yet, so it looks like a channel with nothing on it, but it's all Big Blue!

Thanks for the info, I will tell other insight friends.
FYI, I just left insight after 4 years and got DirectTV over the weekend and been very happy. The reason I left was insight raised my bill substantially for 2 straight years. At the time I switched to DirectTV, my insight bill was $148.76 for regular cable, no movie, no sports channels just your regular extended line-up and internet. Two years ago my rates were $92.00 in '07 and $117.00 in '08 and now shot up to $148.76 here in '09, that's when I said I'm finished! LOL. PaulCat, I live in Hebron near the Airport and got DirectTV through Cincinnati Bell because they now have a partnership. I have zoomtown internet now with DirectTV and my estimated bill after 12 months will run me about $120.00. DirectTV has lot's of sports packages that you can order in season and simple discontinue them in the off-season of that particular sport and save money. They also have much more HD channels and more regular channels.

GO UK! [Wink]

I watched the game on that channel last night only it wasn't in HD. It was only on the middle half the screen with the "FOX SPORTS SOUTH HD" logo on each side. But for the Blue/White game it was on that channel in full HD.

I'm hoping all the regular season games on FSS are on that channel in HD.

Makes me want to move a few miles south. Nothing on TWC for the last or the next game. Glad to see there are so many TCD members in the NK, GC area.

Mine was the same way, but the exhibition gamr was kind of like "almost HD". It was a lot better than a normal non-hd channel on an LCD tv, but it didn't appear to be truly 100% HD either.

FairfieldCat, we'll make room you if you want to move south of the river. [Wink]

For those up here in Northern KY on Dish Network, last year they would never show the game on FSN South, because they said we were in Cincinnati's market...I yelled at them until I was BLUE in the face, but that did not work. This year however, everything was on with no blackout on channel 420. I did purchase the sports pack this year so that may be the reason, but I had it last year and they still would black the game out, so far this year we are good to go, let's keep our fingers crossed LOL

DISH is crazy. They go by your area code to determine which Fox Sports channel you receive and you only receive ONE channel without purchasing the Network Sports Package. For me, I get Fox Sports-Cincinnati.....like I want that channel?? [Roll Eyes]

Yeah, that is what I realized and it was worth it to me to pay $5 a month for the sport package, you also get the NFL red zone which is an AWESOME channel, love that channel....plus all the cat games to me it was well worth it LOL

I hear ya! The only time I watch Fox Sports Cincy is the Reds games and a few Xavier games. That's why I had to add the Sports package with DirectTV. Only $12.99 a month and you get approx. 35 channels. You also get not only all the fox channels but others as well including comcast.
