Man, we're bringing in the new posters here, aren't we? Is it me or have a whole new group of CAT fans joined up recently here at TCD?
Whatever the reason{s}......the more the merrier.
WELCOME to all the new posters. We tipping the scales at close to 3,000 members now.
edit: I just looked and we now have 2,977 members now on TCD. If we all log on at once, it'll crack my moniter. I noticed there was 71 posters on here on Tuesday or so....awaiting word on Cal. That's dwindled a bit since his hiring. The BEAST has been fed! lol

I've been around for a couple of years and was mostly observing and reading.
This past week and our new coach has caused me to join in on the fun. Though I come from the hills (Beattyville) I live in VA Beach and feel disconnected sometimes. My youngest, who just turned 16, has not spent more than 30 nights in the Commonwealth is a bigger fan than me. Since the day BCG was fired and before the rumors started he called that we would get Coach Cal.
He was getting upset last night during PTI when they were pulling the joke that RP was coming back. I've grown a Big Blue Maniac! Pretty cool.

VABeachCat, I grew one too. He grew up shouting at the TV just like his father. I suspect there are a lot of us on here that grew Cat fans.

Va Beach Cat, I raised my family in Northern Virginia suburbs of DC and they grew up wearing the blue and white of Kentucky. My daughter even went to UK, graduating in 92 with the unforgeables. I lived and worked in the DC area for 34 years of my adult life and my now grown children and grandchildren still live in the Northern Virginia area. And yes, my four grandchildren all get and wear UK t shirts and other UK items proudly.

I lived in Somerset from the age of eight to ten. If I remember correctly, while I was at Pulaski Elementary school, Reggie Hanson was at Pulaski County High(please feel free to correct me if I'a wrong) and I can remember watching Pulaski play Apollo(I think was the name of the school) and Rex Chapman. The love for basketball in general is something that I will never forget. From that moment on, I have been a fan of UK and all of Kentuckt basket ball at all levels. My eleven year old son and both of my younger daughters are huge UK fans along with myself and my wife. We even took our family pictures in UK garb and handed them out to our entire family, who are all die hard Illinois fans. Being a fan of UK is something special, a passion that most outsiders probably can't understand. I will always root for UK until I have not another breath in my body.

Haven't been on for quite some time. Glad to be back. One word I haven't heard describing Cal (but maybe I've just missed it)....Dynamic. I'm very excited and eager to get into the basketball season.

I was number 147 until the software ate my identity and I had to start over. Even had to add "old" to my name, because it showed Norm already taken. A lot of our original members have moved on now.

Norm, Ray has been gone about 6 years or so? Was wondering when he first joined TCD. He was so special but never really got to know him that well.

I guess I joined shortly after it started as well, although for the life of me I can't remember how I originally found this place.
I was just looking for someone who wanted to talk KY basketball with.
Coming up on 10 years!
Man has it been an entire decade?

hillbillys only learned the three R's. Reading,
riting and the road to richmond.

I joined pretty early to having been on some other forum that as it turned out had some type of scandel going on with the person who ran the board posing as different users and former players etc. Someone invited us all here as recall. Been here ever since!
