LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Matthew Mitchell's first women's basketball staff at the University of Kentucky is complete.
Mitchell announced yesterday that he'll retain two assistants -- Niya Butts and Vonn Read -- from predecessor Mickie DeMoss' staff.
The third spot will be filled by Wendy Palmer, a player on the WNBA's Seattle Storm, who won't join the staff until after the WNBA season.
