It appears that Billy Gillispie has made up his mind on at least one assistant coach.
Jeremy Cox is working on UK's behalf with two high school recruits. Cox was on Gillispie's staff at Texas A&M and spent the previous three seasons at Arkansas-Fort Smith.
While he was there, the school won the National Junior College Athletic Association Mens Basketball Title and was national JuCo coach of the year.
Cox contacted Clark County about Preston Knowles Sunday night, and according to our sources has been in touch with Mason County's Darius Miller as well.

posted 04-07-2007 11:14 AM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I know Jeremy Cox, the Gillispie assistant mentioned in the article, quite well. He was the head coach at Garden City (KS) Community College for a couple of years and I saw most of his games. He's a bright, passionate and articulate young man and a helluva recruiter. One of his players died very quickly of cancer and the story is very touching and says much about Cox. I'm not recommending him, just a little bit of local knowledge.
