Once again he was the best player on the floor. Driving to the basket, shooting 3’s and mid range jumpers, and goes 13-15 from the foul line to finish with 27 points prior to fouling out with a minute to go. He led Providence to an easy win.

Announcers on FS1 were commenting, “How did he barely play last year at Kentucky?” Currently he is the leading candidate for Big East Player of the Year.

Providence is now 13-3 overall and 5-0 in Conference.

Happy for the young man. It just makes you wonder what he was thinking all last year sitting on the bench behind players that it was obvious he was better then. By all accounts from Cal last year he was a model team mate, but was just behind other guys in Cal’s mind.

I would like to know how Cal decides who is going to be in his dog house every year.

I also watched a little of Arkansas/Missouri. Missouri had a 17 point lead before Musselmen made adjustments on defense in the second half and then Arkansas came back and won. Put his tall lanky guy in the paint to alter/impact Missouri’s drives to the basket. That simple adjustment changed the entire complexity of the game.

Wife's Mad. Told me we never talk anymore. And just last nite while watching super bowl told her 2 or 3 times to get me a coke and popcorn. Also told her not to forget to take out trash in the morning. Ain't that something. Also told me I was too indecisive. Can't figure out what to do about that. One nice thing I guess. She called me a pro crastinator. Don't know what a crastinator is but I guess I'm a good one for her to call me a pro. Gonna wait til tomorrow to look that up though. I love her but somrtimes can't help but thinking I should have told uncle Junior to keep his coon hound pup and stevens double barrel and also his youngest daughter.

Who knows what Cal sees. He obviously missed how Hopkins could help. I don't understand how when he showed it pretty clearly in some of the time he got. We sure could use him this year. He was a guy I was expecting to have a big year this year with more playing time.

It's obviously no question that Cal is completely out of modern day college basketball. He is at too high a level of school for him to operate efficiently. He recruits over his own capabilities. We are lost until UK spends some BIG, BIG, BIG money.

It was interesting to see an article ranking the best transfers. I believe Reeves and CJ were supposed to be pretty high on the list when we got them, but now neither is listed in the top 20. However, Brooks and Hopkins are both listed and having very good seasons. I think it just shows again that Cal has lost it, and doesn't know how to use all the talent that he gets. Reeves and CJ should both be having good seasons, but coming to UK was probably a bad move on their part because of the coaching. It was smart for Hopkins and Brooks to leave as they knew Cal didn't know how to use what he had. If Brooks and Hopkins both stayed they would have been big helps; wait, never mind. I momentarily forgot who our coach was. Brooks would get pulled after a mistake and Hopkins wouldn't be touching the floor.
