Team Records and Series Notes Kentucky is now 17-6 on the season, 7-3 in Southeastern Conference action. Florida is 15-8 overall, 6-4 in league play. Kentucky leads the all-time series 98-37 and has won four in a row. Next for the Wildcats: UK plays host to Georgia on Tuesday, Feb. 9, at 9 p.m.
Team Notes Kentucky extended its home-court winning streak to 33 games. UK is 32-7 under Calipari in bounce-back games after losses. UK has never lost more than two in a row in Caliparis seven seasons. (over) Kentucky shot 51.7 percent from the field. UK won the rebounding, 37-28. UK has a 16-1 record this season when winning or tying the rebounding but is 1-5 when losing the carom gathering. The rebounding led to a 17-11 advantage in second-chance points. UK limited Florida to 61 points. The Wildcats are 128-5 under Calipari when holding the opponent to 63 or fewer points. Calipari has a 652-184 (.780) all-time record, including a 207-44 (.825) mark at Kentucky. Calipari is 115-4 (.966) in Rupp Arena. Calipari has two of the top-three longest win streaks in Rupp Arena history 54 by Calipari, 33 by Rick Pitino, 33 by Calipari.
Player Notes Freshman Jamal Murray had a career-high 35 points. Murray is the first player in school history to have two 30-point games in his freshman season. He had 33 vs. Ohio State on Dec. 19. He is the first player in the Calipari era with two 30-point games in a season, as well as in his career. Tied Terrence Jones (35 vs. Auburn on Jan. 11, 2011) for the most points in the Cal era. It is his eighth game this season with at least 20 points. It is his 21st consecutive double-figure scoring game.

The 52% shooting from the field says it all and if we keep it up no telling how good this team could be come tournament time. Florida isn't the best team in the league but they aren't the worst either.

If memory serves me right, they are the best defensive team in the league!

Florida sure didn't look like the best team in the SEC as we torched them by shooting 52% from the floor, 60% of our 3's! That doesn't sound like the best defensive team in the SEC to me.

MH, I just checked teams "two" teams, Kentucky and LSU and they both had better defensive records (points scored against) than Florida in SEC games.
