In a normal Kentucky versus Alabama basketball game, the Wildcats are the ones with very few blemishes on their resume while the Crimson Tide are the ones looking for signature wins to boost their NCAA Tournament hopes.
Like you have heard countless times in the last 10 months, times aren’t normal, and that certainly applies to Tuesday night’s basketball game between the two SEC teams. No. 9 Alabama is off to an 8-0 start in conference play and is virtually unstoppable when shots are falling while Kentucky sits in the middle of the pack at 4-3 (5-9 overall) in desperate need of a win over a quality team like Alabama.
“Everybody is hunting them right now, they’re in first place, they’re undefeated in the conference,” Kentucky assistant coach Bruiser Flint said on Monday. “You just got to play better than we did the last time. We got to do some things differently but they’re the hot team in the league right now so you got to give them our best.”
