It's a great problem to have but it has to be hard on some of these talented players having to sit on the bench for long stretches. I guess Cal could platoon but that doesn't work all the time either. It's going to be great for all us fans watching this team progress and even possibly win number 9.

He is never going to have an over abundance of talent again and has even said he would never platoon again. Great talent coming in on paper but as we know from Skal, paper rankings do not always give great results as college freshmen. It is good to have these highly rated players coming to UK but how many will turn out to be outstanding college freshmen players???

I see nothing wrong with subbing in 5 guys at a time. But, since it cost him in recruiting where the other programs used it against him, I seriously doubt he will ever us the term "platoon" again.

Probably not, but you can look for wholesale substitution if enough guys pan out and can really play. Each year it seems we get close to having at least 10 guys who can play.

We did not even have five quality players this past season, I don't expect us to ever see the talent level on one team we had last year.

We had two forwards that shot over 60% from the field, Lee at 68% highest percentage of a Cat ever and Poythress at 60%, 24th all time highest percentage as a Cat. We Had Willis who hit 44% of his 3's plus 44th most as a Cat, and Murray that hit 40% of is 3's and also made the 2nd most 3's in a season of any Cat. Ulis also hit 34% of his 3's and also made the 40th most 3's as a Cat.. We had 2 players that averaged 6 boards or better, Poythress and Lee. We had Ulis who average over 7 assists a game which is the all time leader over John Wall and he played 2 less games. On the defensive side of the ball Skal had 59 bocks and Lee had 58 blocks which was the 24th and 25th most blocks by players in UK history. To me that is a lot of talent on one team as stats don't lie. Never disagree with you Ray but this team had a "number" of very talented players as shown by the stats above.

I do agree we under achieved with the talented players we had but being a devoted Cat fan best to keep that to one's self.

Disagree with me anytime Bruce, I have said all year we did not have the front line players to go far in the tournament. Regardless of what the stats whow, there is not an NBA caliber player on our front line even though Skal will be drafted on potential. I don't see any of our other players making an NBA roster like in years past. This team had great guards but just did not have the front line skills needed to take the pressure of them.

Lee should have had an extremely high shooting percentage, all he ever shot was dunks. Stats certainly don't lie but they can be very deceiving from time to time.

Bruce, do you see Alex, Lee or Willis making an NBA roster??? I don't.

I thought this was a discussion forum, a place to give our opinions, sorry if I have misintrepreted our situation here. There is no bigger cat fan in all the world than me but I do not see the Cats players through blue tinted eyes. I give my opinions and have no problem with others disagreeing with what I post.

I agree that these guys were no where near last year. They just had a problem of not being able to produce at important points in the season. I also agree that Lee, Poythress and Willis are not NBA players. But I still think we will have at least 10 players for next year who could see significant PT if they can play like we think they should.

Ray, this forum like you so rightfully pointed out is a place where you can voice your opinions and that's what we both did and nothing wrong with that. It was just my opinion that we had a lot talent on this years team and tried pointing it with their stats to show they were quality players, nothing more nothing less.
